Damage dealt
Which hero actually hurt the opponent? A heavily upgraded hero contributing little may be misplaced or poorly matched.
The number lies by omission
Two accounts can show the same total Power and perform very differently. The game adds almost everything together; a battle only uses the pieces you actually bring.
To make your best march stronger, concentrate investment into its five heroes, useful combat stats, troop quality and march capacity. Upgrading something outside that march may raise total Power without helping your next fight at all.
| Upgrade | What it usually means | Does it help March 1? |
|---|---|---|
| Main-march hero stars, Skills and strong Gear | Direct improvement to heroes entering the fight | Usually yes |
| Higher troop tier | Stronger troops inside the march | Usually yes |
| March capacity | More troops allowed into the battle | Yes |
| Combat research affecting your heroes or troops | Permanent battle statistics | Yes, when applicable |
| Chief Gear and other account-wide combat bonuses | Statistics applied broadly across marches | Usually yes |
| Thousands of extra troops sitting at home | More total army Power and replacement depth | Not necessarily in one fight |
| Upgrading unused heroes | A stronger collection and backup teams | No |
| A building required for the next Power Plant level | Progress toward an unlock | Indirectly |
| Decoration or appearance upgrade | Useful only if its description grants active statistics | Check the listed bonus |
After a repeatable Arena or PvP test, check:
Which hero actually hurt the opponent? A heavily upgraded hero contributing little may be misplaced or poorly matched.
Which front-line hero survived, and which collapsed? A tank's job is not to top the damage chart.
Support value may appear as healing, protection or enabling another hero—not a giant personal damage number.
Yes. It reflects account development, army depth and progress, and it may affect rankings or participation requirements. The mistake is treating it as a precise prediction of combat. For fighting decisions, examine the exact march, statistics, formation, opponent and battle report.
Yes. Front-line heroes receive pressure earlier, so durable heroes generally belong there. Damage and support heroes usually need protection behind them. Exact placements can also change targeting and Skill interactions, so test formations rather than assuming the five strongest individual heroes automatically make the strongest team.
