For every alliance member
What should I do before Season I?
You do not need to understand every new menu. Follow these steps and you will avoid the biggest mistakes.
Your simple checklist
What should I save?
You do not need to hoard everything. Keep playing normally. We are only saving items that can be used at any time.
| Item | What to do |
|---|---|
| Stamina cans | Save the cans in your bag. Your naturally refilling stamina should still be used. |
| General speedups | Keep a reserve. Continue using building-, research- or training-only speedups when useful. |
| Hero fragments | Wait until we understand Lucky's promotion cost and upcoming scoring events. |
| Skill books/materials | Save them. Promoting Lucky may refund the materials already used on her. |
| Resource boxes in your bag | Leave them unopened until you need the resources. |
| Teleports and shields | Keep a few for emergencies. |
What happens when the season starts?
- The world map becomes an ocean. Cities move and become neutral.
- A seasonal building area appears. You receive an extra construction slot for seasonal upgrades.
- You choose a Ship. The economy Ship helps growth; the war Ship focuses on fighting. Wait for alliance guidance before choosing.
- You begin earning Fuel and Freshwater. Use them on seasonal buildings.
- You raise Corrosion Resistance. This lets you fight stronger contaminated enemies without a large penalty.
Lucky: do not upgrade blindly
Season I lets a fully starred SR Lucky become SSR. That sounds automatically wonderful because the button is shiny. It may be useful—but universal fragments are valuable.
For now: keep your fragments and Skill materials. We will post a simple “promote” or “do not promote” recommendation after the live costs and rewards are confirmed.
Water Quality, explained like a normal person
Think of Water Quality as your settlement's cleanliness meter.
- High Water Quality: you receive helpful effects.
- Low Water Quality: you receive penalties.
- Water Quality at zero: you enter a dangerous temporary state and enemies can damage your Settlement Defense more easily.
You do not need to memorize the contamination rules yet. Watch the meter, follow alliance instructions and avoid random fights when your Water Quality is dangerously low.
I want the deeper Water Quality rules
- A successful attack on another player can lower the defender's Water Quality.
- Players already in Severe or Critical condition may sometimes contaminate an opponent even when they lose.
- In a rally, the rally leader's Water Quality represents the entire rally for this calculation.
- The Water Quality leaderboard itself gives no ranking prizes; achievements do give rewards.
The mistakes we are avoiding
- Leaving the alliance right before Oil Clash.
- Stopping all normal upgrades because Season I looks important.
- Choosing a Ship before reading its Skills.
- Spending every saved item on the first day.
- Starting random fights while troops or Water Quality are in bad shape.
